Following the launch of four additional business grants, East Cambridgeshire District Council is urging business owners to check if they are eligible for the new and existing business grants available.
Dr Liz Robin, Director of Public Health for Cambridgeshire, is urging people to follow the Tier 4 rules and to seek help if they need it from the network of support hubs across the county or the many charities and community support groups.
All of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will be subject to Tier 4 restrictions from Sunday, December 26th in response to the new COVID variant.
From 1 January 2021 businesses that deal with Europe will have to follow new rules on exports, imports, tariffs, data and hiring. If that’s you, there’s actions that need sorting.
From 00:01 on Wednesday 2nd December, East Cambridgeshire will come out of lockdown and enter tier 2 restrictions. East Cambridgeshire forms part of the wider Cambridgeshire and Peterborough tier, which has been categorised as tier 2.

As part of a commitment to small businesses and giving back to the community, Salesforce is partnering with Enterprise Nation to offer eligible firms the opportunity to receive a £5,000 grant to help them through the COVID-19 outbreak.
East Cambridgeshire District Council will be launching its discretionary funding scheme from Monday 1st June for businesses unable to access other COVID-19 grant funding. Applications for the Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund open from 12 Noon on Monday and the Council is urging businesses to check their eligibility and apply as soon as possible as funding is limited.
Gigabit broadband Vouchers are helping hundreds of businesses and nearby homes in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to install faster, more reliable connections – capable of up to 1000 Mbs. The first wave of the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme, which launched in March 2018 with £67m of funding for small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and residents, closes to new applications on 14 May 2020.
