During the same period, the working age population (16-64) in East Cambridgeshire increased at a faster growth rate than the UK (8% compared to 5%).
Over the last 10 years, employment in East Cambridgeshire has increased from 26000 to 31100 , a 20% increase which is nearly 3 times higher than the UK average (7%)
East Cambridgeshire has one of the highest totals of self-employment across the GCGP LEP area with a 43% increase between 2004-2014.
