HMRC is offering digital support to your members in August. We have a selection of webinars, e-learning and YouTube videos available to help them get their tax right first time.

Self-employment Live

Webinars (online presentations): We offer a selection of live and recorded webinars.  Customers can register for our scheduled live webinars which last about an hour and offer the opportunity to ask questions.  Our shorter recorded webinars are available anytime but there is no facility to ask questions and no registration is required.  Here’s a link to our webinar homepage on GOV.UK.

 

YouTube: There’s a selection of short videos providing bite-size information for businesses on HMRC’s YouTube channel lasting just a couple of minutes each.

 

Email alerts: This free tailored service ensures your members are fully informed with useful and timely reminders of changes.

 

Apps: HMRC has provided details of simple record keeping apps for mobile devices to make life a little easier.

 

Key Messages: Receive bi-monthly updates on widespread information from across HMRC.

 

We also have our Twitter account @HMRCBusiness. Tweets are issued daily to promote webinars, YouTube videos, tax deadlines, events and news as well as responding to tweets about general tax questions around setting up or growing a business. We always try to encourage Partners to follow this account, and to retweet relevant messages.

 

Leading up to the Self-Assessment deadline of 31 January 2017 we can also provide you with a variety of digital products to help businesses, including start-ups, in your area who are completing their 15-16 Self-Assessment Tax Returns. We are also running live help & support sessions throughout January giving businesses access to experienced staff who will be able to answer any questions and provide practical help on the completion of their return and payment of tax due etc.
